Veterans Employment & Training Services (VETS)

The VETS program at Interfaith Community Services provides assistance to veterans, particularly those transitioning from military to civilian life. The program offers a range of services to support veterans in securing stable employment and housing. Key elements include:

  1. Employment Services: Job readiness training, resume writing, interview preparation, and job placement assistance tailored to veterans.
  2. Housing Support: Assistance with finding stable housing for veterans experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
  3. Case Management: Personalized support from case managers who work with veterans to address challenges such as mental health, addiction, and accessing VA benefits.
  4. Peer Support: Veterans helping other veterans by providing mentorship and guidance through the transition process.
  5. Financial Assistance: Support for essential needs like rent, utilities, and food during the transition period.

The goal of the VETS program is to empower veterans to achieve long-term stability, both in their personal lives and careers.
